tetex's fancyheadings to tex live's fancyhdr hints

With this autumn's Linux releases some people might come against the fact that after all these years TeX has started to evolve again ;-)) 

The TeX Live distribution that most upcoming Linux releases ship instead of TeTex, does not provide fancyheadings.sty any more. 
But despite my first research, it does'n really hurt:

  • Replace \usepackage{fancyheadings} with \usepackage{fancyhdr}
  • Change the rulewidth commands from \setlength to \renewcommand
  • voila.
